Vestibular disorders are often caused by damage or dysfunction of the inner ear. They can also be a result of age related changes of the brain, migraines, and head injuries. Symptoms of vestibular disorders can include dizziness/vertigo, lightheadednesss, neck pain, poor balance or impaired coordination, vision problems, headaches and nausea/vomiting.
By performing a vestibular evaluation, we can determine whether deficits are vestibular, visual or proprioceptive in nature and address the root of the dysfunction.
