Kinesiotaping is a therapeutic taping technique applied based on the PT evaluation findings. It can be applied several ways and has the ability to re-educate the neuromuscular system, alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, improve circulation/tissue healing, prevent injury, and assist the body in returning to homeostasis. Kinesiotaping is safe to use on all patients including the elderly and post surgical patients.

Other more rigid tapes such as Leukotape can also be used for stability purposes such as stabilizing an affected joint, providing feedback for improved posture, and facilitating neuromuscular re-education.
