During the COVID-19 pandemic, Touchstone is offering telehealth physical therapy visits for new and continuing patients.
Q: What is telehealth?
A: Telehealth is a live, one-on-one video or phone appointment with your physical therapist. Much like an in-person appointment, our therapists will discuss and assess your condition and develop activities that you can do at home.
Q: Does my insurance cover telehealth visits?
A: Yes! Insurance covers a telehealth visit as it would an in-clinic visit. Copays, deductibles, and coinsurance payments may apply.
Q: Who qualifies for telehealth services?
A: Anyone! All existing and new patients; however, you must verbally consent to the telehealth service in order for us to deliver these services.
Q: What technology do I need to do a telehealth visit?
A: A computer, ipad, or a phone.
Q: How do I schedule a telehealth visit?
A: Just as you would an in-person visit, either call the office a call at (410) 290-4480 or send us an email frontdesk@touchstonecolumbia.com.
Q: What do I need at home for a telehealth visit?
A: To make the most of your visit, you will need a comfortable area with space to move. Your therapist will work with you to make sure the visit goes smoothly.
Q: How do I start the telehealth visit?
A: You will receive an email with a link to access the telehealth visit via Zoom. The email will arrive shortly before your appointment.
Q: How long will my telehealth visit take?
A: Depending on your condition or injury, your visit may take 30-45 minutes.
