What makes us different from the other providers in the area?
Our personalized approach and expertise. Our practitioners are excellent listeners and observers who have the expertise to design treatment plans that works best for your needs and lifestyle. We provide “hands on” care. Literally we use our hands and the power of touch to facilitate an actual change in your body–improving mobility, increasing blood flow, reducing pain, or increasing strength.
Must I see a doctor before coming for physical therapy?
The state of Maryland allows direct access to physical therapists; however, your health insurance companies might still require a medical doctor’s prescription or referral for physical therapy treatment. If you have Medicare, then you must have a recent prescription from a medical doctor in order to be evaluated and treated.
What type of insurance do you accept?
We accept many insurance plans. As a convenience to you we file all insurance primary and supplementary claims for physical therapy services. When you call to make your first appointment, we will collect your insurance information. As a courtesy we call and verify your insurance coverage for physical therapy services. We also suggest that you contact your insurance company to verify coverage as you are ultimately financially responsible for any services provided. Please be advised that verification of benefits does not guarantee payment.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Simply call (410) 290-4480 to schedule an appointment. When you call to schedule your first appointment, please have your referring physician’s name, information on your condition, your insurance information. Please inform us if you have any special requests or time sensitive concerns.
What do I bring and expect on my first appointment?
For your first visit you will need your insurance card, a photo ID, your referral or prescription and any paperwork that your physician or insurance company request you to have. To save you time on your initial visit, please complete the Patient Information Forms found on this website under the heading of “Patients.”
Be sure to wear comfortable clothes that will allow the therapist to examine the injured areas and surrounding tissues. The initial evaluation involves a thorough history, tests and measures. Based on the results of this evaluation a treatment plan is developed to meet your goals. This examination and treatment varies in duration from 60-90 minutes based on the complexity of your needs.
What type of treatment will I receive?
All physical therapy is carefully tailored to your individual needs. The specific treatments to be performed will be determined by the treating physical therapist at the time of your initial evaluation and will be modified appropriately as your condition progresses.
